Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Exercize challenge total = 15

  • coffee, 31/2C– 5kcal
  • 1T sugar–48kcal
  • 1/2 fat free, lactose free milk– 45kcal= 98kcal sbtl
  • 1 order of Chinese stir fried green beans w/ white rice (wish I could do 1/2 order of rice or better yet, brown rice)–250+200
  • 1C almonds (argh)– 824kcal
  • 2C coca-cola– 200kcal
  • 1/2C peas–62kcal
  • 50 tostitoes
  • 1/4 salsa
  • probably some other stuff I can’t remember

DD was sick, and I just binged and munched and ate nervously (especially while watching the convention proceedings– I’m scared to death. We worked hard on the house remodel, but it’s very slow. I’d love to get it finished– at least to a place where it felt more settled, so I could concentrate on the diet/exercise thing, but it doesn’t seem like that ever happens. I don’t know how to work in conjunction with the other variables to make sure that I keep on track. It’s very depressing….

08.19.08– Tuesday, pretty well

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

Okay, yesterday was MUCH better.

Today is not so bad either yet.

Worked out at noon elliptical 1/2 hour (much harder workout than yesterday)

  • coffee, 2C–5kcal
  • 1T sugar–48kcal
  • 1/4c lactose free fat free milk–23kcal
  • TLC Bar 11:30– 140kcal
  • Amy’s Chili & Corn Bread meal– 340kcal=556kcal thus far== 744 left for this evening.

Am planning on having the crab patties remoulade this evening with green beans and couscous. DH is practicing tonight so this will be a good evening for couscous.

08.18.07– Monday, fresh start

Monday, August 18th, 2008

·         4C coffee—10kcal 5am

·         1T sugar—48kcal

·         ½ C lactose free, fat free milk—45kcal

·         Maple Yogurt 170kcal 9:30am

·         1/2 C lactose free, fat free milk—45kcal 10:30am

·         Honey Nut Cheerios—200kcal= 518 sbtl (this is high for 10:30am) careful! Probably just salad for lunch.

I made it to the gym and used the elliptical (albeit very slowly) for 1/2 hour– don’t think my heart rate made it much over 125, but that’s okay, at least I went. Weight was 153.2, which is 3.2 lbs. up, but that’s not too bad considering how much binging I’ve been doing over the last two weeks….

  • And had 3C of salad 100kcal (lettuce, carrots, cucumber, tomatoes and shelly beans)

  • with that spray dressing (20kcal)= 638kcal yay. that’s better so I get 500kcal for dinner and 100 for after dinner snack

  • Dinner

    • brats and kraut 400kcal (complete guess– not labeled)

    • TLC honey almond flax bar 140kcal

    • 5 dried apricots, 30kcal

  • seems like I’m forgetting something i ate here, but oh well, this is pretty much it.= 1208kcal for day

08.17.08– Sunday

Sunday, August 17th, 2008

So today I had:

  • coffee 7C 6pm
  • 2T sugar
  • 1C fat free lactose free milk
  • whopper meal with fries and cheese 1:45pm
  • and then I had some cheese sticks and crackers and sweet potato chips (like alot and they’re fattening) and I don’t know what all….

tomorrow I plan on having coffee, yogurt, raisin bran, frozen dinner, toss salad and for dinner either

flank steak with shitake mushrooms or

crab cakes with remoulade

trouble is i have to get to the store. I’ll either

go tonight or go tomorrow morning= after ymca or drive separately and go after work

08.14.08

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

Okay, so I had

  • coffee 4C–10kcal
  • 2T sugar–96kcal
  • 1/2C lactose free, fat free milk–45kcal
  • 3T coffee mate creamer–105kcal= 156kcal

Slept well last night. Feel better than yesterday and certainly better than this weekend, no headache or body aches, fatigue is better, no chills, etc. All the fattening food is about gone from the frig. at work, so that’s good. Going to lunch at Lennie’s and will have cake later, but I’m skipping that (as God is my witness)!

Will get back on the exercise tomorrow, unless I can make myself go after work (if Stu would pick up Mary). Also might try to go to store this evening too, as I’m running low on healthy food. I think there are fresh items in my veggie drawer, but they don’t seem very appetizing because they’ve been there so long. Must figure this out better!

08.12.08– trying hard to get back on track

Default too much fun

Good Morning All! Best of luck this first day to Everybody , and
thanks for getting us started Enygirl.

Here are my vitals:

1. SHOOT AND SCORE: Number one goal is to lose 5 lbs. I will weigh in at the gym during the noon hour, but I should be about 150 lbs I think, so the goal weight is 145lbs. I had DH take my measurements this morning.
I think my measurements are:
bust 40.5
waist 38
hips: 40.5, but it was 4:30am so I’m not sure how reliable those measurements are .

2. WORK! COVER GIRL!– I’m good with 30 mins. of exercise 4 days a week. My personal goal is minimum 30 minutes 7 days a week. I have been doing the elliptical pretty faithfully, but I would like to add some variation. DH & DD bought me a WiiFit, so ideally I’d like to add that in the evening. I guess I’m getting the cardio all right, but I’d like to vary it with a combination of WiiFit, balance ball workout (free DVD from McDonalds!), and maybe some weights a few days a week.

3. COME ON IN THE WATER’S FINE!– This will be easy for me. I LOVE 3FC!!!! I was the lurking cheater last month, but I promise to post regularly this month.

4. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW. I still need to think about this one some. Mostly, I just want to copy you all. There are some great thoughts here.

5. TODAY IS TOMORROW’S YESTERDAY! This is really a challenge for me, and makes all the difference too. I ride share to work most days, so I can’t go to the store through the week, and it really helps to go twice through the week in order to keep fresh food around. I may ask my ride share buddies if they’d like to make a pit stop mid-week. It’s pretty far back into town, and plus I’m pooped in the evening. I will binge on unhealthy food if I can’t get to the store often enough. I am doing pretty well with the calorie counting thing (using my blog and www.calorie-count.com). BTW, Enygirl,
you said “Also if you’re a points/calorie counter, schedule an approximate of haw many per each meal.” What’s ‘haw’ mean?

6. WITHOUT ENOUGH SLEEP WE ALL BECOME TALL TWO-YEAR-OLDS! No problem. I love sleep almost as much as 3FC

7. BALANCE, PEACE< and JOY ARE THE FRUIT OF A SUCCESSFUL LIFE! I, too, need to work on balance in my life. I have many, many things I love to do, but only so much time in the day. I am going to try to spread myself around more evenly and be proud of that, rather than being frustrated with all the things I don’t get done.

Whee!!! Here we go!!!

Pigginpodgey. I’m sooo jealous of the Scotland move. Let us know how you like it. It’s number one on my list of places to visit.

AND PenChick, I am also a big Cubbies fan. It often keeps me from getting my exercise in though, because they take precedence over almost everything . I missed yesterday’s game, but it looks like it was a humdinger!!!!

Best of Luck today!
~Wistfulgirl
