09.25.08– Thursday

okay, have been really, really binge eating. Specifically lots of butter on bread and butter on crackers with jelly. My weight is very high. Seems like I keep gaining and losing the same five pounds. I guess I need to set a time to go to the grocery every week. Wednesday nights would probably be good, since that doesn’t run so close into my precious weekend time. I had cantaloupe, couscous and succotash last night, but I ate alot of each and then followed up with several pieces of whole wheat bread with butter/blackberry jelly. Need to put my mouthpiece in this evening so that doesn’t happen again. I think it’s about TOM, and that seems to be when my appetite goes wild. I need to figure out how to stave this off next month

But for this week, I maybe need to go on Friday, since I missed last night and Mary has her first GIRL SCOUT meeting tonight! Was sick Monday and Tuesday. Really depressed about the economy and the future of this country, even in the best case scenario. I can’t believe this election is so close. What are people thinking!

Well, let’s see

Woke up at 4:30am. This is always fun for me, because I feel like I can conquer the world, until about 10am when my caffeine wears off, and then I can’t do anything for the rest of the day… my caffeine has worn off.

  • Had fruit chunks and brie cheese w/fruit preserves on crackers and little chocolates for Breakfast.
  • Went to the SRSC, but was a lazy bum, mostly because my hip hurts (that front top muscle– hip flexor on right leg) so I did walk 1/2 hour, but I can’t in good conscience count that unless I do some exercizes this evening. Go Barbara 2 more days, and I get some sweat pants.
  • Had a 300 kcal lunch from Lean cuisine, and some more CHOCOLATE

So I’m back to the age-old problem. About every time I get a handle on the diet thing, OTHER people at home and at work offer food that ruins it. I know they’re trying to be nice, but I can’t say ‘no’. It’s very frustrating. Last night, Stu made some concoction with waffles and iced cream and fruit, and it was very delicious, but my weight was up two pounds today– 153lbs. I don’t know what to do about that….

09.18.08– Thursday

  • yogurt the nasty light kind with aspartame– I ate about 1/2 of it, and then I threw it away because it tastes so gross. =50kcal
  • chicken salad= 300kcal
  • ww bread= 150kcal
  • 1 medium fountain coke (think my ulcer is better)=210kcal==808kcal sbtl

Also used elliptical 1/2 hour, fairly hard, heartrate=140-150 most of that time.

Weight, argh 151.8, which is much better than 153 from yesterday. Darnit. I did have a little headache after the yogurt, but I feel pretty good otherwise– not too spacey for one thing. So, what should I have for dinner? Stu is starting chicken and dumplings, but that doesn’t help with Mary….

09.17.08– Wednesday

So, I exercised yesterday 1/2 hour on elliptical, but it’s been very hard to get to the gym. Going to try to make it out the door once again today. If I exercise the rest of the week and on Saturday, I get some sweat pants!!!!

Today I had

  • coffee 5C
  • sugar 1T
  • 1C lactose free milk
  • 1 string cheese
  • vitamin
  • couple of bites of apple

Have bnls pork chops scheduled for this evening. Would love some succotash with that this evening, since I’ve been thinking about Grandmother words and succotash comes to mind. I tried to buy some spinach for a little spinach dish, but was unsuccessful.

Here’s what I THINK I had for supper last night:

  • Corn w/ lots of butter
  • pork loin
  • toss salad w/ranch 4C
  • desert 2 frozen waffles w/cool whip, frozen bananas and peaches (and maybe some corn syrup)
  • 2 pieces of ww bread with butter
  • 8 ’scoop’ tostitoes

Also, worked out on elliptical 1/2 hour at noon hour. Not as hard as yesterday… heartbeat in the 140s mostly.
